As far as getting horses ready for the Derby, he's as good as they come, He's done a magnificent job with Bob and John.

We started out studying the offensive players, and now we're studying the defensive players. Like Bush and Young, Williams is a unique athlete. We believe he is capable of having as much an impact on the defense as Bush would the offense. He is such a dominating player that he can play anywhere up and down the line.

He's very resilient and has only missed four games in four years. He's taken more abuse than probably anybody in the history of football. It's up to us now to give David the resources to allow him to perform at the level that we know he's capable.

If that's all there is, if it's still a minor thing, then I doubt it would have any effect on what we do.

We are very serious about this, not nervous. We will address where we have the greatest needs and where the player can help us the most. It's not often we have the opportunity to select a player of this caliber. You want to make a pick of a player who will be with you and make a contribution for a long period of time.

At this point in time, based upon what we know about Reggie, we're not aware of anything that would prevent us from picking him if we decide that's what we want to do.

We think he's just as dominant a player on defense as Reggie is on offense. The thing we've been missing has been a pass rush. The bigger short-term impact on our team would be more with a running back. But Mario Williams could play for 10 or 12 years, and he may be the next Reggie White. Green Bay had Brett Favre , but they won a championship when they got Reggie White.

We have a good offense, but Reggie Bush would make us an explosive offense.

It creates a problem with the playing field....So that's what concerns me, it's the safety for the players.

I certainly wasn't proud of that. And the players weren't proud of it. None us were. That's not the kind of team ... that's not the kind of effort that we want to have. That's just totally unacceptable and we're not going to have that.

I don't want to be in this position again. This is an exciting time, but this isn't the spot you want to be in for obvious reasons.

He can be another Reggie White. That's what our people think.

I think everyone appreciates it. I was completely amazed that Arizona, the Cardinals, Arizona State and the two teams involved were able to make that kind of change on such short notice. I think that's amazing. When I first heard it, I thought it was some mistake. I think it was an amazing job and the community there has our gratitude.
