Where the separation comes is when you start talking about revenue sharing that goes beyond that. I think everyone in the league wants all the clubs to be competitive. When it goes beyond any requirement to be competitive, and it's just a redistribution of profits, that's a different issue.

I was impressed, but I wasn't surprised, because we already knew Vince was a great athlete. He showed a super arm. He was really accurate. He put the ball on the numbers. He was accurate throwing on the run, and he didn't have to break stride. It was a great performance.

I'm really interested in sitting down with him and getting to know him. We'll get some quality one-on-one time with him. We'll do the same with Reggie Bush, too.

I've talked to a number of them, and they think that's something we ought to give consideration to. I'm not trying to be an advocate of that, trying to sell it -- this is what we need to do. I'm saying we need to look at it objectively and make that decision. Maybe it's smart, maybe it isn't. If it isn't smart, I certainly don't want to do it.

We need the input of all 32 owners, that is critical. We don't want to get ahead of ourselves and interview candidates before we define the position. It's difficult, it takes a lot of thought and effort to think about where you want to be in the future as a league.

I think it's wide open. It can be someone no one even knows. The main thing is to get the right person for the position, whoever they might be.

I haven't heard anything about this from anyone in the league office, but that doesn't mean there's not something to it. Right now, we're scheduled to sit down and meet after the draft and evaluate everything. When we do that, we'll see where everything's headed.

I think it shows a seriousness on the part of the league to bring this thing to some kind of a decision.

We didn't have to buy land. We didn't have to pay for infrastructure, that was already there. We didn't have to pay for 25,000 parking spaces. So you start adding all that up and it's probably another US$150 million. So if you throw all that in, the total cost of our stadium was probably closer to US$600 million.

We're a very large enterprise now. It will be difficult to find a CEO with a strong-enough football background, and a football person with a strong-enough business background. We need to keep growing and expanding.
