I am not looking at long-term because it is working against investments. There's certainly going to be an implied warning (by the Fed) which means that we're 'on hold' until August.

This is the expected outcome. We have run up to this. I wouldn't be surprised to see some profit taking.

I think there's still more upside ahead into next week, and as we look at the market beyond near term, I think the surprising strength in the economy is going to help us in the first half of 2006.

A rebound in energy (prices) could be one of the excuses for a mid-December trading peak (in stocks).

The retail sales numbers we saw should have presumed a rally but we had some selling in Hewlett-Packard and NBC Internet. During the day, people started to realize that retail sales were good news.

The market is exhibiting the typical end-of-year patterns of low volume, lackluster trading and little volatility.

It was unanimous we'd have a year-end rally until the yield curve inverted. We wanted to close the market on a high note this year, but now we're worried that the 2006 market will have to deal with this. The next Federal Reserve meeting will be extremely critical. We have to hope this isn't predictive of a recession or a slowing economy.

There's a little nervousness in the air regarding heightened geopolitical news. The rhetoric from Iran is not helping.

The market rally this week supported a growing opinion that January 31 will be the last interest rate hike.

This is the third 'up' day in a row and that's showing a direction. People are getting a little bit nervous -- it's been dangerous to pick bottoms before because it always turned back down.

There is such apathy toward investing.

I just really do believe, and our utility analyst believes, that the California situation will clear itself up. Here is an opportunity with a four-percent dividend to take advantage of a conservative play,

Inflation is not the problem; growth is.

I can't see it. Not in the Nasdaq.
