They can say whatever they want to say, ... To me, anybody who has to go out of their way to say something negative about somebody else, they're in a lot more pain than I am. I'm not in that kind of pain. You've got to be miserable to go out of your way just to be negative about somebody all the time.

I think I've hit a couple off him. He's thrown more than one stupid pitch to me,

That's a great compliment if that's the case, ... These guys are good. Everybody's playing well. You just can't take two days and two games right now and start riding the white pony. You've got continue on. If we're going to make a run at this, we've got to continue winning. There's no looking back.

It's tough. I'm trying to put a lot of stuff together in a short period of time.

I feel pretty good, ... To not swing a baseball bat in almost a year, no spring training, and go to a college and hit in a cage for a week and come out here and face major league pitching ... like I try to tell these guys, 'If I give you a little, it's a lot in this stage.'

I just prayed, brother. That's it. I thought, 'Why me?'
