We're having a pretty good run here.

There's no economic news and just a few sleepy deals, and so I think we're just easing our way into the new work week,

This is the week of very little economic data, so these mid-quarter updates are what's getting the attention this week, ... The Texas Instruments report and the positive Intel expectations are what driving things in early going. But we'll be watching the (fuel) inventories. That could slow things down.

The overriding belief is that there is more good news out there than bad news,

We had kind of a knee-jerk reaction to the Fed yesterday, and today we're coming back a bit,

With declines three days in a row, you know it must be earnings season,

There's been this tug of war all day between factors like falling oil prices, more negative than positive economic news and everything going on at GM,

Abercrombie & Fitch and American Eagle seem to have really nailed it. They have great popularity. They've hit a great line, both moving in the right direction. We see great upside for the next year in both of those names,

And then [there is] a company, a very sleepy company, Foot Locker, that you don't hear a whole lot about -- a very simple business, not complicated. They're doing very, very well, ... They didn't over-expand into the end of the '90s. They typically run at about a 13, 14 P/E ratio. They're above 11 now. We see the stock making a nice quiet gain over the next couple of months, and couple of quarters, and doing very, very well.

But it's more of the same unfortunately. Volatility is going to be the norm not the exception.

All of the news we got today was negative and the market was defying it ... the news was atrocious today,

Today we had some positive economic data and we came into the market oversold, ... I don't think we've fixed the oversold position -- I think we're still cheap. Tomorrow there will be some focus on factory orders and Cisco earnings.
