I don't think Jeremy was sharp. Velocity-wise he was fine, but location he was not. He didn't have it. We got pounded. Honestly, it could have been worse. We scored in three innings and all three times we gave up runs. It's another nail in the coffin for a team that is already kind of fragile. It was not pretty.

We're just not getting it done. I'm not getting the message across. This really bothers me. I know I'm responsible, but guys have got to do it. It's inexcusable to be going through this losing streak. Losing doesn't sit well with me. It shouldn't sit well with anybody. We have to keep working. I know no other way. There's no magic potion.

It's been a tough, difficult month. But we won tonight, so I feel great.

Jason did an outstanding job for us. I'm sure he's happy, and I couldn't be happier for him.

This is a big win for the playoff situation. Our job is to knock 'em off and we did. Those guys are celebrating and they deserve it.

We don't have the finished product yet, we have a learning 21-year-old. But we like what we have. I give him credit, going through what he went through last season, getting on-the-job training. He handled himself well under the circumstances.

If someone is going to get thrown out, it should be the manager.

I'm not counting on it. I'd like to say maybe he'd be available to pinch-hit, but as far as playing his position, I don't see it happening.

This guy is a good contact hitter. He can put the ball in play. He hit 17 home runs last year. He's a good hitter, and he's a good infielder.
