I do understand that it's new ownership's prerogative to make changes and hire new people. I was somewhat surprised by the move. It's not something that was in my mind 24 hours ago.

This works out perfectly because it allows me to keep my hand in it and be involved and hopefully positions me for the future. As far as scripting something, I'm not sure the pieces could have fallen together any better.

North Haven is at a crossroad. If we are to live and grow, we must invest in that growth. If you poison the roots you kill the tree.

I remember watching them both play and thinking it would be awfully nice to get the two of them together. We thought they both could be pretty darn good.

For companies to pull out would be precipitous. Companies have costs invested in the country and they will be cautious to pull up the stakes and lose them.

We'll probably only consider a handful of individuals. We'll bring up people who can accumulate either innings or at-bats, so we can hopefully gauge where they stand as a prospective Major Leaguer.

We haven't really gotten down to specifics.

Right now, our starting rotation is performing well, so we don't see any reason to disrupt them. And with the position players we use, assuming everybody's healthy, there's not many at-bats there, either.

With Philippe, it's all a matter of command and control. He's one of the youngest players in the Pioneer League. He was the youngest in the Midwest League.

We're a lot younger than most people realize. Our young players have started to establish themselves.

The idea with him in the spring was to see how he measures up to the better three-year-olds and there is no better way of finding that out than running him in the Ascot Vale.

For all intents, it's been very close to a total remake. He's got an excellent arm. It's all about throwing in the zone. Over the second half, he was much more consistent.
